Welcome to my kitchen, where not only food is crafted. The kitchen is a place for both silly and deeper reflections, where I let the creative side of my brain take action, and where everything I make has a purpose. The purpose can be taking care of myself (and my family) with healthy meals, making something comforting for when we need it the most, or preparing large meals to gather as many of our friends as possible. In Spain, where I come from, every meal is treated as a ceremony that brings people togehter, even if just for a moment in our busy lives, and the kitchen is the sancturay where the magic starts. Note the words of solemnity I’ve used to remark the importance I give to connect to the food and the place it’s made.
Here you’ll find reflections and essays on food, with ocassional reicpes. I believe people should take credit on their creations. That’s why I try to point out what’s original and to point at my sources of inspiration. If you are ready, go ahead and start reading!

The Moon: Humanity’s Oldest Clock and Newest Frontier
Often, it is easy to ignore the world around us and take Earth for granted. What a Fruit Parody Taught Me About the Future of Culture
Fast food didn’t make restaurants obsolete Disclaimer: This quote isn’t mine, I first heard it here. However, it made me want to keep pulling the thread. The context of the discussion has nothing to do with restaurants and fast food, but with fruits. I particular AI generated fruit in a Love Island parody. I’ve watched…

The Identity of the Cook: Why Every Household Makes the Best Torrijas
In Spain, we call them torrijas, and they are usually eaten at Easter. For me, the best moment to make torrijas is when spring has just begun: the days are longer and sunnier, but it’s still too cold to have breakfast in the garden. Every year, they bring back the same memory: visiting my brother…
